Beyond the erratic opening hours, the real problem with this establishment is how the owner responds to negative reviews. Mockery, sarcasm, inappropriate emoticons: instead of self-reflection, they prefer to ridicule customers. Just read the responses to criticisms about the opening hours or the food to understand: – no self-reflection, – no business acumen, – a completely counterproductive, overly sensitive attitude. When you take over a business open to the public, the foundation is respect for customers, even when the feedback is unwelcome. Here, the impression is primarily one of someone who clearly doesn't understand the rules of business. The opening hours are disregarded, communication is nonexistent, and the sarcastic responses seal the deal: it's not the customer who's laughable, but the management.

The opening hours have been completely erratic since the new owners took over. The establishment was advertised as open until 8 pm on Google, but I arrived at 7:15 pm after deliberately leaving work early: the shutters were closed, even though there was still light inside. Clearly, they closed early due to a lack of customers, without updating the hours. The result: – a wasted trip (15 minutes), – a pizza order from the same town was cancelled, – nearly an hour wasted after a workday when all I wanted was to relax. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time the opening hours have been disregarded since the change of ownership. A minimum of professionalism and communication would be appreciated, especially for a betting shop where opening hours are crucial. P.S. after the "manager's" response. Based on the response I received, it's clear these people don't come from a business background. Just a few more months and goodbye!!!! He who laughs last laughs best; unlike you, I'm saving my smileys for later.

The cook being ill, our group received half portions of the only dish of the day, priced at €20: in this case, customers should be refused service or the price adjusted accordingly.

I've been to this establishment several times before, and it was always fine. But this time, things went badly. We came as a group. Upon arrival, we were told that the chef was sick and that, consequently, only one dish was available (lentils, pork knuckle, and carrots). The dish itself was decent and homemade. The portions were far too small for the number of people. The real problem arose when it came time to pay. Over 34 euros for a small piece of pâté, the lentils, dessert, and a beer. The price is exorbitant considering the quality of the food. This feeling was shared by everyone in our group, and that's why we won't be returning.

I had very fond memories of this place (cheerful food, good ingredients). A warm welcome in a lively and friendly atmosphere… I was disappointed by my last visit… the food was just so-so! The apple tart was really cold and soggy, covered in industrial caramel sauce… and the dining room was empty! Of course, the welcome was friendly, but that's not enough! What a shame.

I highly recommend it; the food was hearty and delicious, and the service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable.

The flavors were bold but perfectly balanced.

We stopped for lunch at the end of our holiday. The food was delicious, homemade, and the atmosphere was friendly and peaceful, despite being just a stone's throw from La Rochelle and its summer bustle. We highly recommend it.
